DTFS is offering a new technology platform allowing to receive monthly insurance discounts for carriers. It depending on how telematics data measures their drivers’ safety. Daimler Truck Financial Services has partnered with High Definition Vehicle Insurance for the Dynamic Insurance offering exclusively for commercial fleet operators. Dynamic Insurance starts with a base rate. Using real-time telematics data from ELDs and dash cameras, there are insurance discounts for carriers each month based on safety improvements. The service lets fleets set safety goals and benchmark metrics. Dynamic Insurance is available in 17 states.
